In addition, there are studies that show how vitamin D deficiency can increase the risk of developing respiratory diseases. And so, while there is still no solid proof that vitamin D supplementation could help protect you from the novel coronavirus, there is enough scientific evidence to show that having low vitamin D levels could make you susceptible to infections and respiratory diseases like COVID-19.
