New England Patriots Owner Uses Team Plane To Bring Medical Supplies To Massachusetts

In these trying times, everyone is looking for a way to help out. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft has decided to use his resources to bring medical supplies to the team’s home state.

According to the tweet above from Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, Kraft used the New England Patriots team plane to fly over one million N95 masks from China to Massachusetts. “Huge thanks to the Krafts and several dedicated partners for making this happen,” Baker said in his tweet.

CNN also reports that along with the masks, the airplane was also packed with 200,000 masks that will be given to New York. Another shipment with 500,000 masks is expected soon.

“The Krafts, our partners Ambassador Huang Ping, Dr. Jason Li, Gene Hartigan and our Covid-19 Command Center personnel teamed up to get this job done and we eagerly await the plane landing at Logan Airport soon,” Baker said in a press message to CNN. “Our administration will keep pursuing the PPE necessary to support our brave front-line workers who are working tirelessly to save lives during this pandemic.”

This move came after Baker found himself bothered at being outbid by the federal government for securing supplies. ““I stand here as someone who has had confirmed orders for millions of pieces of gear evaporate in front of us, and I can’t tell you how frustrating it is,” Baker said Thursday, according to Boston.com. “I can’t tell you how frustrated governors, including this one, are about the issue associated with landing the order. It’s happened to us. It’s happened to many governors across the country.”
