Why We Make Fun of Mental Health

Why We Make Fun of Mental Health

Mental Illness stigma is as old as history. Clinical depression is seen as laziness / just sadness, anxiety as weakness, ADHD & OCD as fake, bipolar disorder & schizophrenia as crazy. In a time where people fake mental disorders for TikTok views & believe depression isn’t real, I try to find out where this stigma comes from & why we don’t take mental health seriously.

Using psychology (kinda) to find out why people make fun of mental health / use it as quirky trend & personality trait, how we romanticize it due to social media, while raising mental health awareness.
